GEMM Circle: Preservation & Pandemic Check-In

June 17, 3 pm (EST), 2 pm (CT)

This is an informal discussion with GEMM Steering Committee members which will center on the preservation field and challenges and opportunities of the pandemic on the field. This small group discussion will also include space for talking about how all museum professionals are coping with the pandemic and navigating gender issues in the workspace. All are welcome.

Work to End Sexual Harassment in the Museum Workplace: The Pledge

The Gender Equity in Museums Movement launched a platform for individuals and representatives from the museum field to be progressive agents of change by pledging to take an active role to end sexual harassment in the museum workplace. GEMM believes it is important to sign the pledge because “We believe everyone on the gender spectrum is a strong and valuable resource for museums and heritage institutions; we all need to play our role in making society a better place, to no longer play the quiet bystander.” ​
